At Drumm’s Turf and Sawmill LLC, we sell our products by the linear foot.
However, most of our customers measure out the sites that they’re working on by the square foot.
Converting that measurement to linear feet can seem a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s as easy a 1-2-3!
All you need to do is multiply your square footage by 12 and then divide it by the width of the board you’re looking at purchasing it.
For example, if you’re looking at purchasing 10” wide boards to cover a room that is 12x12 (or 144 square feet), you would multiply you square footage by 12 and then divide that answer by 10. You would need 172.8 linear feet of 10” wide boards to cover the space.
