How many megapixels is good for product photography?
The amount of megapixels that will suit most photographers' needs is between 10-20 megapixels. If you don't need to print or crop, megapixels won't make too much of a difference for you. Luckily, most high quality DSLR or mirrorless cameras on the market today are all at least 15 megapixels.
What Matters. Going for something around 20MP - 24MP is a good starting point. For many applications, the ability to trigger external flashes, either through a hot shoe or a sync port, is a must.
For instance, a 20-megapixel photo could be printed at 300 dpi as a larger 16x20-inch print. How many megapixels do professional photographers use? They typically use cameras with 12 to 50 megapixels. However, the exact number can vary depending on the specific needs of their work.
On a pixel level, 48 MP FF sensor will have worse DR than 24 MP FF sensor. However, 48 MP sensor has two pixel for every pixel on 24 MP sensor. And two pixels from 48 MP sensor taken together will have the same full well capacity and DR as one pixel from 24 MP sensor.
24MP is more than sufficient to produce a 24×36 inch print, because nobody needs to pixel-peep a poster. A 24×36” poster has a minimum viewing distance of 65 inches – which at 150dpi, would require a 20MP image. The overall verdict? Few people need 40MP, and fewer still will need 100MP.
But the website builder typically recommends using 2048 by 2048 pixels for square product photos. These high-resolution images give your store a professional and well-rounded look, with great zoom capabilities. Remember that for zoom functionality to work, your images must be more than 800 by 800 pixels.
The difference between 12 and 24 MP is negligible unless you make large prints or crop severely. As for the low light performance, a camera with a full size sensor will enable you to work at a much higher ISO.
Megapixels refer to the number of individual pixels that make up an image. The more megapixels, the more detail and resolution the image can have. However, simply having more megapixels doesn't necessarily mean better image quality.
Find out how well a human eye compares to a cell phone camera. According to scientist and photographer Dr. Roger Clark, the resolution of the human eye is 576 megapixels.
The answer to this question is that the 12 MP camera may have a larger sensor size than the 48 MP camera. A larger sensor size allows for more light to be captured and processed, resulting in a higher quality image.
Is 12MP good or 48MP?
Since most people share their images digitally online, 48MP vs 12MP doesn't matter if you are only posting at native scaling. However, higher MP smartphone sensors allow you to more effectively "zoom" and give you a decent image versus a lower MP sensor.
But even professional wedding photographers rarely need more than 24-megapixel cameras. If you plan to print your photos into posters (50 x 75 cm - 20 x 30 inches), consider a camera with at least 24-megapixel sensor, but most everyday photographers may not even require that much resolution.
20 vs. 24 MP is basically negligible in actual photographs. Test charts can show there is some difference in detail capture, but in the practice it's not going to be a factor. If 20 MP is not enough, then 24 won't be enough either.
If you're printing your work and want to create high quality prints of your landscape photographs, aim to print them at 300 DPI. The size of print that you can produce with your camera will depend on its native resolution. If you're not planning on printing larger than A2 size, you won't need more than 16 megapixels.
ISO: Set your ISO as low as possible. Too high of an ISO will result in a grainy image — the opposite of what you want for product photography. ISO 100 is ideal for starting, then gradually bump it up until your product appears properly lit.

12MP Mega High Definition
Swann's highest resolutions available (yet) is world-leading 12MP Mega HD for security cameras. With 12.6 million pixels, 12MP resolution has around 50% more pixels than 4K. 12MP is formatted in a 4:3 aspect ratio. This sets it apart from 4K and 1080p, which are both in the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Megapixel don't give you "zoom", aka magnification; lenses do that. What megapixels give you is detail / resolution. Higher megapixel images can be cropped in more. This doesn't scale linearly though.
Megapixel resolution plays an important role in how large you can print your pictures. Because the more megapixels you have, the more detail is recorded, high-resolution cameras allow you to make larger prints or crop shots without worrying about the image's pixel structure becoming visible.
That depends on your lens, but again generally speaking, apertures of f5. 6, f8 or f11 will produce a 'sharper' image than f16. Apertures of f2. 8 and f4 can be just as sharp, depending on the lens, but they can suffer from depth-of-focus and curvature of field issues.
Which animal has highest eye megapixel?
Mantis shrimps (Stomatopoda)
Mantis shrimps probably have the most sophisticated vision in the animal kingdom. Their compound eyes move independently and they have 12 to 16 visual pigments compared to our three.

Generally 100 dpi is a good standard for images with the document size set at full size of the large format printed product. For example, if you want to order a 40"×60" print, the image size should be 4000 pixels (40 x 100) by 6000 pixels (60 x 100) at 100 dpi.
For normal quality output, your original file should have 300 dpi resolution at 25% of the final output size. (this means for a 24 x 36 poster, your original file should be at 300 dpi and 6 x 9). This applies to photographs and bitmaps.
