- Topic: Creation of a Line in Grasshopper from a specific Excel cell
- is possible to import data of a single cell then turn that into a line.1) Is it possible to select a single cell in Excel and Import it to Grasshopper through the File Path or Read File function?2) Can the value of the cell, say A2 = 45, be turned into the dimension of a line instead of a component of a point, or as the length of a vector?3) Last would be if it is possible, could use the cells, A2 = 45; A4 = 20; A6 = 53, as the length, width and height dimensions, using the Geometry tool?…

- 0 w0,0,0If you want to do it with RhinoScript, then it will look like:Rhino.AddLine(Array(-10.1583,-33.7795,0), Array(0,0,0))If you want to do it using RhinoCommon and C#, it will look like:Line line = new Line(-10.1583, -33.7795, 0, 0, 0, 0);doc.Objects.AddLine(line);Then there are also VB.NET, C++ and several ways of doing it using Python.--David Ruttendavid@mcneel.com…

- Topic: SDL with placeholder values
- my technical challenge. Is it possible to define a SDL line where the direction and the start/end points are not yet defined? In the attached GH file, I’m hoping I can place a line somewhere on the path of a circle based on the length of the line. So if I make the line longer, the ends should slide out along the circles.I should say that using circles are not required, as an ARC would work just fine for my application. In the end, I would like to be able to slide the SDL line laterally (using a slider input) and allow each end of the line to follow different locations along the circle/arc.I hope my intent is clear as I’ve been trying to solve this one for over 2 weeks.…
