On the sixth day of Christmas...Today's Permission is to ring the changes.I’m not sure anyone cares as much about traditions the rest of the year as they do at Christmas. Whether it’s the date you put your tree up, the special trifle bowl that only comes out in December or your particular present opening ritual, these things are personal and sacred. Even the ones that don’t serve you or you don’t really want to do anymore. Shocking I know! So, should we be slaves to tradition? The fact is if you no longer want to be or do something you’ve said yes to in the past, you can say no this year. Just because you *always* go to Great Aunt Mabels for mince pies on Boxing Day doesn’t mean you can’t change your mind and do something different. Go out for a boxing day walk and have pie and peas when you get back. Great Aunt Mabel might be more ready to ring the changes than you realise!Saying no is especially important with things that cause stress, anxiety or overwhelm. If you don’t have the capacity, find particular people too difficult or are experiencing sensory overload it’s ok to drop a tradition. Not doing a thing that will push you into a place of unwellness is a tradition we all need to start. So here is your “permission to ring the changes and drop the traditions that no longer serve you”. I give you permission! I say you are allowed and I’m holding that spaceuntil YOU give yourself permission too!Sign up here for the downloadable permission slips. Print them & sign them... and display them somewhere visible! https://lnkd.in/eu6m6SHB#JanetSmithHarrison #JanetSmithHarrisonCoachingandTraining #12PermissionsOfChristmas #12FreebiesOfChristmas #CoachingFreebies #FreebieFromCoach #CoachingAtChristmas #ChristmasCoaching #ChristmasPermissions #ChristmasPermission

Great morning learning how, if you focus on the process and mindset, the game takes care of itself. Applies to sport and business: the importance of working as a team, consistency of performance, and having a clear vision and values everyone is aligned towards!

🌟 **Day 2: Grit & Grace: Bouncing Back and Rising After the Fall**Hi Everyone, The other day, I'm scrolling through Instagram, and this Macklemore post at a concert caught my eye. There was a lively dance-off happening, and right in the midst of it was Willow, a young lady from the audience, called up for a spontaneous 20-second dance challenge. But here's the plot twist—mid-dance, she takes a tumble right on stage. Can you feel the pressure, falling in front of a massive concert crowd? It's like, spotlight, oops, stumble! What would you do? Stay down or get up and groove on?Well, guess what? Willow chose to rise. And Macklemore appreciated her, not just for her moves, but for showing us all what resilience looks like. The crowd went wild, celebrating her spirit. It hit me right in the feels; that was resilience on full display.Life's thrown me a few curveballs too. I remember my taekwondo match during the Nigerian University Games. Picture this: first heavyweight fight, ready and pumped up, and then bam! My very first kick, and I'm on the mat. Embarrassing? Absolutely. I was gobsmacked. But you know what? I got up and fought on. Did I win? Absolutely. But that moment stayed with me, teaching me a lesson. I battled through that humiliation, came out on top, and have never let the shame of failure control me.My coach once shared his story of a knockout in his first match. Ouch, right? But that loss and failure didn't stop him. He trained harder and came back stronger.Truth is, life's a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Sometimes, those downs teach us the most. The key is to bounce back, no matter how many times you fall. Stand up, and keep going. That's resilience – turning those falls into triumphs. We're all in this together, bouncing back, and stronger! 🙌✨ #StorytellingJourney #UnveilingMe #LetsTellStories #30DaysOfStories #LifeStories #ResilienceRocks #KeepOnFighting #UpsAndDownsWith all the positive vibes,Chidi 🌟
