Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat will headline the two-weekend Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
Rock band No Doubt, featuring Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young, will also have a reunion. It will mark the first time in nearly 10 years since the group performed together.
When is Coachella 2024
The event will be held April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the theEmpire Polo Club in Indio.
This is the first time in the festival's history that more than one woman will headline Coachella. It's also one of the most Southern California-centric lineups, with Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat growing up around the Los Angeles area, and Lana Del Rey residing nearby as well. No Doubt is also from Orange County.
Del Rey is returning to the festival a decade after her debut on the Outdoor Theatre stage. The 2014 set attracted a huge crowd that packed the area to watch the alt-pop singer following the release of her sophom*ore album, "Born to Die." She was scheduled to perform at the festival in 2020, but the event was canceled due to the pandemic.
In 2022, Del Rey made a surprise appearance at the Stagecoach country music festival — at Nikki Lane's Stage Stop Marketplace — to perform with the market's namesake on the Horseshoe Stage.
Tyler, the Creator first appeared at Coachella in 2011 as part of the hip-hop collective Odd Future. He performed on the Outdoor Theatre stage in 2015 and denigrated Dr. Dre's hologram gimmick from 2012 — as well as attendees in the VIP section, including Kendall Jenner. "Hey Kendall, I'm over here to your right — f--- you," he said.
He performed again on the Coachella Stage in 2018 and appeared last year during Colombian-American artist Kali Uchis' set to sing "See You Again."
Doja Cat will return to the desert after her 2022 Coachella debut, when she was joined by Rico Nasty for their hit "Tia Tamera" and Tyga for "Juicy." The singer released her latest album, "Scarlet," in 2023, which features songs "Paint the Town Red," "Demons" and "Agora Hills." She previously joined Rico Nasty on stage in 2019.
Other performers on the lineup, which was released Tuesday, include: Peso Pluma, Renee Rapp, Lil Uzi Vert, Justice, Blur, Ice Spice, Grimes, Jon Batiste, Jungle, Lil Yachty, J Balvin, DJ Snake, Bebe Rexha and more. Rock band No Doubt, which posted a teaser about a reunion on X Tuesday, is also scheduled for the festival.

Fans assumed Taylor Swift would headline Coachella 2024
There was speculation of Taylor Swift headlining last summer after announcing additional dates for her ongoing blockbuster Eras Tour, which revealed a pause after a Singapore show on March 4 through May 9, leaving her April clear to play the festival.
The singer still looms as perhaps the biggest contemporary star to never play the 24-year-old event.
And while Swift has never played the festival, she is also no stranger to it.In 2016, she showed up as an attendeeand memorably snapped a picture of herself on the grounds sporting bleach blonde hair that she memorably captioned “Bleachella.” She alsoplayed Stagecoach in 2008, back when she was still a country music-playing kid on the rise who hadn't yet adopted the pop sound that's made her the object of Coachella dreams.
In a 2023 article, Billboard named Temecula native Olivia Rodrigo as one of 10 possible headliners for the festival, but she announced in September that her "Guts World Tour" would open in February at Acrisure Arena. Los Angeles promoter Goldenvoice and its parent company AEG have a proximity clause that prevents any artists playing at Coachella from performing at any U.S. festival between Dec. 15 and May 1, or any hard ticket concerts in the Southern California region during that same time period.
Coachella 2023 was one for the history books
The 2023 festival featured its most diverse lineup of headliners to date: Bad Bunny was the first Latino solo artist to headline, BLACKPINK was the first Asian group to headline, and Frank Ocean was the first openly gay man to headline.
Ocean, who started his Sunday Weekend 1 set an hour late, perhaps had the most-talked-about performance — and not in a good way. One rumored reason for his delay was an onstage ice rink that was supposidly scrapped at the last second, causing his supposed onstage ice skaters to become "dancers" who just walked around in a circle for the first 10 minutes of the set. The 2023 festival was also the first time Weekend 2 wasn't sold out since Goldenvoice added a second weekend in 2012. A 2022 Wall Street Journal articleexamined many issues facing promoters of festivalssuch as the rising ticket costs, an “oversaturation of events" and featuring many of the same artists on lineups.
In recent years, festivals have offered more upscale experiences for affluent demographics. Coachella offers a $15,000 package featuring on-site furnished studio accommodations, premium passes, golf cart transportation, concierge services and more.
