WHAT WE WANTED TO DO WAS BUILD SOMETHING THAT PROVIDED AN OPPORTUNITY FOR EVERYBODY TO FEEL LIKE THEY HAD SOMETHING THAT REALLY RESONATED WITH THEM. THE PLACE RESONATES. ONE FEEDS RIGHT INTO A 600 FOOT LONG LAZY RIVER. I’M JUST EXCITED THAT WE CAN OFFER SO MANY UNIQUE FEATURES. CABANAS FOR RENT OFFERS SOME PRIVACY. THERE’S A ZERO ENTRY POOL FOR TODDLERS, LOUNGE CHAIRS IN IT FOR THE MOMS TO BE ABLE TO SIT WHILE THEIR KIDS ARE HAVING FUN. SO IT’S JUST A GREAT LITTLE SPACE FOR OUR YOUNGER PATRONS. PLUS, A 13 FOOT OUTSIDE SCREEN WITH SOUND THROUGHOUT THE PARK. THINK MOVIE NIGHT AT BLUE SURF BAY. I’M ALL ABOUT THE SURF SIMULATOR. THIS SIX ENGINE SURF SIMULATOR IS ONE OF A KIND IN THE MIDWEST. THE DESIGN OF THIS WAS REALLY TO BRING SOUTH MIAMI BEACH OR THAT CARIBBEAN VIBE INTO THE MIDWEST AND HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO KIND OF FEEL LIKE YOU’RE AT THE BEACH, AND CITY LEADERS ARE ACTUALLY A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT ITS POPULARITY. Blue Springs has introduced a water park that has been four years in the making. Blue Surf Bay features a 40-foot water slide that's visible from Interstate 70. "We wanted to build something that provided an opportunity for everybody to feel like they had something that really resonated with them," said Dennis Dovel, the assistant city administrator of Blue Springs.Dovel showcased the indoor splash pad and the Ninjacross course suspended from the ceiling during a tour of the park."Seniors can exercise. Youth can learn to swim," said Dovel, emphasizing the park's appeal to all age groups.The park features indoor and outdoor attractions, including a splash pad, lap swimming, a suspended NinjaCross course, and a Slipstream slide, touted as one of the world's longest stand-up slide at 300 feet. There are also four other water slides, a 600-foot lazy river, cabanas for rent, a zero-entry pool for toddlers, and a surf simulator, the only one of its kind in the Midwest. The park aims to provide year-round entertainment for all ages, bringing a beach-like experience to the Midwest.The park also features a unique attraction — a six-engine surf simulator, the only one of its kind in the Midwest.
